Xiaomi has officially announced that the Redmi 13C will be launched in India on December 6. The smartphone will showcase a fresh Star Shine design, and based on the official renders, it will come equipped with a triple camera setup, including an ultra-wide angle lens and a 50 MP wide-angle camera.
Previously, the Redmi 13C was introduced globally in November, succeeding its predecessor, the Redmi 12C, which was unveiled in December 2022. The global version of the Redmi 13C is powered by a 9nm MediaTek Helio G99 SoC.
Additionally, Xiaomi has incorporated a 5,000mAh battery with 18W wired fast charging support into the Redmi 13C. Now, Xiaomi has confirmed the launch date of the Redmi 13C in India and has provided a glimpse of its color options. Meanwhile, some key specifications of the device have also been leaked.
As per an official post by Redmi India, the Redmi 13C will make its debut in the Indian market on December 6. The teaser page on Xiaomi’s official website further confirms two color choices and a primary rear camera with a resolution of 50 megapixels.
The smartphone will be available in Stardust Black and Star Shine Green colors in India. Moreover, according to industry sources cited in a report from 91Mobiles, the Indian variant of the Redmi 13C is expected to be powered by the MediaTek Helio G85 SoC, similar to its global counterpart.
The report also suggests that the Indian model will share other similar features with the global version.
According to the report, the Redmi 13C’s Indian version might feature a 6.74-inch HD+ (1,080 x 2,460 pixels) LCD display, similar to the global variant, boasting a refresh rate of 90Hz.
The camera setup on its rear is rumored to consist of a 50-megapixel primary sensor, a 2-megapixel macro shooter, and an auxiliary lens. Similarly, the front camera is anticipated to sport an 8-megapixel sensor, mirroring the specifications of the global model.
